Makah Environmental Restoration Team Technical Support Services for Environmental Cleanup and Restoration Request for Proposal (RFP) The Makah Environmental Restoration Team (MERT) is conducting environmental mitigation activities on the Makah Indian Reservation. Professional services, including environmental engineering and scientific consulting, are needed to plan, execute, coordinate, oversee, and document activities including abatement of hazardous materials; demolition and removal of buildings; removal of hazardous materials and building debris; environmental sampling and analysis of groundwater, surface water, and sediment; development of a pre-engineering archaeological protection plan; planning for future phases of the work; and preparation of work plans and reports to guide and document the work. The qualified firm must be familiar with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) processes, including conducting work under the Native American Lands Environmental Mitigation Program (NALEMP) and working directly with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). These mitigation activities are scheduled from February 2, 2026 through September 24 2027. To be considered, proposals must be received by 3:00 p.m. on January ,26 2026.
