NOTICE OF SEPA APPLICATION The Town of Friday Harbor has received a SEPA application and checklist for the following project. The public has a right to review the contents of the official file, provide written comments, participate in any public meetings or hearings, and request a copy of the decision. Project Location 530 Wold Rd., Friday Harbor, Washington, San Juan County; Project Number LUA2026-0019 Project Description This project is for the Town of Friday Harbor to complete critical infrastructure upgrades to their existing water treatment plant (WTP) for capacity needs, and for resiliency and redundancy. This project will add a packaged filter system to enable the WTP to meet the plant’s rated design capacity, as well as modify their existing filters to a gravity feed to increase filter loading rates and add critical operational improvements to their peroxidation system and on-site hypochlorite generation (OSHG) system for disinfection. Type of Permits Site Plan Review & Construction Permits Comments and other written requests must be submitted no later no later than 4:30 p.m. on May 21, 2026. The public comment period for this application is 15 days and the Town will not act on the application nor make a threshold determination until the comment period has ended. Any person may comment on the proposed application, request notice of and participate in the public hearing (if a hearing is required) and request a copy of the decision.
