In accordance with RCW 42.12.080, the remaining members of the Port Commission shall appoint a successor to serve until a qualified individual is elected at the forthcoming general municipal election scheduled for November 2027. Three individuals submitted their applications for appointment in the first call for applicants (referred to as nominees pursuant to RCW 42.12.080) were announced during the Commission’s public meeting held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
