NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING, SAN JUAN COUNTY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER PROPOSED ORDINANCE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Juan County Council will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving testimony on an Ordinance Regarding Sit-ing an Essential Public Facility for San Juan County Public Works Operations on Shaw Island. Summary: This ordinance would approve the siting of an Essential Public Facility to support County Operations, including but not limited to operational support necessary for Public Works at 1427 Neck Point Road on Shaw Island (TPN 2629320 06000). This ordinance would also authorize the application of the Land-Use Redesignation for this parcel and directs DCD to process said application in the earliest possible Comprehensive Plan Map Change cycle. The public hearing will be held at the Council Hearing Room at 55 Second Street, Friday Harbor, Washington on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, beginning at 9:15 AM. The Council may continue the hearing to another time and/or place without additional written notice. At the hearing, members of the public will be invited to speak and/or provide written statements regarding the ordinance. After the public testimony portion of the hearing has ended, the Council will deliberate and consider the ordinance.
