NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN as required by RCW 28A.505.050 and RCW 28A.505. 060, that the Orcas Island School District #137 will be completing the 2026-27 school year draft budget and a four-year budget plan summary, placing the same on file in the school district administration office by Friday, July 10, 2026, and copies thereof will be furnished to any person who calls upon the district for them. Orcas Island School District’s Board of Directors will hold a budget hearing for the purpose of fixing and adopting the 2026-27 budget at 5:00pm on July 28, 2026 in the school library and/or via Zoom or other synchronous electronic means. Any person may appear at the meeting and be heard for or against any part of such budget, the four-year budget plan, or any proposed changes to uses of enrichment funding (local Educational Programs and Operations levy) under RCW 28A.505. 240. At the following regular meeting of the Board of Directors, the Board may adopt the 2026-27 General Fund, ASB Fund, Capital Projects Fund, Debt Service Fund, and Transportation Vehicle Fund budgets and the four-year budget plan summary.
