CALL FOR BIDS CITY OF MONROE NORTH KELSEY OVERLAY PROJECT ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE $1,137,520.20 FEDERAL AID NO. STPUL 2632-(002) Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Monroe, City Hall at the main entrance, (806 West Main Street, Monroe, WA 98272) for the NORTH KELSEY OVERLAY PROJECT until July 30, at 10:00am local time, according to the official clock at the front counter. The timeliness of the Bid Proposal will be determined by the actual receipt date and time. The bids will immediately thereafter be opened and publicly read aloud at City Hall Council Chambers, 806 West Main Street, Monroe, WA 98272. Bid Proposals received after the deadline stated above will not be opened or considered. This Contract provides for the placement of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA Cl. ½ in. PG 58H-22), pavement repair, planing, construction of ADA ramps, installation of RRFB’s, pavement markings, utility adjustments, temporary traffic control and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The project will include EVENING AND NIGHT WORK for the grinding and paving operations. Bidders are made aware of the requirement to include a Bidder’s Questionnaire (WSDOT form 272-022) in accordance with special provisions section 1-02.6. Bids that do not include this form at the time of bid will be rejected in accordance with Section 1-02.13 of the special provisions. The Engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost is approximately $1,137,520.20. The Work shall be physically complete within 60 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction shall be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at 806 West Main Street, Monroe, Washington. This project has an FSBE goal of 11% Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, money order, or bid bond (with authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the “City of Monroe” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid including sales tax, if applicable.
