OFFICIAL NOTICE OF San Juan County, August 4, 2026, Primary Election and Close of Voter Registration, and San Juan County Canvassing Board Meetings NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in consideration of the San Juan County August 4, 2026, Primary Election that the last day for new voter registrations and voter registration transfers or updates online or through the mail is July 27, 2026. Voters who are not registered in Washington State may register in person at the Elections Office through August 4, 2026, at 8:00 pm. The last day for in-person registration transfers or updates is also August 4, 2026, at 8:00 pm. The Elections Office is located at 55 Second Street, Suite A, Friday Harbor, WA. Voters may register and transfer their voter registrations by completing a Voter Registration Form available at the Elections Office, Schools, and Public Libraries, or by contacting the Elections Office. Applications by mail must be postmarked by the date of the close of voter registration. Voter Registration is also available online at: votewa.gov. Notice is also given that assistance is available for elderly and disabled voters with registering to vote and vote-by-mail ballots. Any voter may also use the Accessible Voting Unit in the San Juan County Elections Office, 55 Second St, Suite A, Friday Harbor, WA 92850. Please call (360) 378-3357 for more information. El-ections in Washington State are conducted entirely by mail. Voted ballots may be delivered in person to the San Juan County Elections Office, 55 Second St, Suite A, Friday Harbor, WA, during normal business hours, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and until 8:00 pm on Election Day. Ballots may also be deposited until 8:00 pm Election Day in the official ballot box located at: San Juan County Courthouse, 350 Court St, Friday Harbor, San Juan Island Orcas Island Senior Center, 62 Henry Rd, Eastsound, Orcas Island, Lopez Island Fire District Office, 2228 Fisherman Bay Rd, Lopez Village, Lopez Island Ballots returned by mail MUST be postmarked no later than August 4, 2026 and should be addressed to the San Juan County Auditor, PO Box 638, Friday Harbor, WA 98250. Registered voters may request a ballot or replacement ballot by contacting the Elections Office at PO Box 638, Friday Harbor, WA 98250, elections@sanjuanco untywa.gov, or (360) 378-3357. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to RCW 42.30, that the San Juan County Canvassing Board or its duly appointed delegates will convene at 8:30 am on August 17, 2026, for the purpose of canvassing vote-by-mail and challenged ballots cast in the August 4, 2026, Primary Election conducted in San Juan County. This meeting will convene at the San Juan County Elections Office, located at 55 Second St, Suite A, Friday Harbor, WA. The Canvass Board will reconvene at 8:30 am on August 18, 2026, in the San Juan County Elections Office to review any additional challenges or cures and to sign the certification documents for the election.
