Child Find Child Find is the process to identify and evaluate children who may have Special Education needs. School districts are required under the Individuals with Disability in Education Act to identify, evaluate and provide services for children from ages 3 to 22. If your child is aged 3 through 5 years of age and you are concerned he/she has learning or developmental needs that required specially designed instruction, you can complete the Child Find Referral form at https://forms.gle/8kyL7sMS36MCDpEo9. After you complete the Child Find form, a member of the Cape Flattery School District Special Education team will reach out to you to conduct a pre-screening interview and schedule a screening meeting. Developmental or Learning needs may include: • Developmental Delays • Hearing or Vision Impairment • Speech/Language Delays • Autism • Learning Disabilities • Significant Health Impairments • Emotional/Behavioral Regulation • Multiple Disabilities If your child is already attending Clallam Bay School, Neah Bay Elementary School or Neah Bay Secondary School, please contact your child’s teacher or principal to discuss your concerns and potentially ask for an evaluation. If your child is aged 0-2, please contact Concerned Citizens at 360-374-9340 for developmental screenings.
