City of Everett, Washington and Snohomish County Public Transportation Benefit Area Corporation (dba Community Transit) NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR ANNEXATION In accordance with RCW 36.57A.145, Everett and Community Transit have jointly initiated a process for annexing the City into Community Transit. Everett and Community Transit have negotiated a proposed Interlocal Agreement for Annexation, setting the effective date of the annexation and providing for other details necessary to the annexation. The Interlocal Agreement for Annexation is available to the public: City website: www.everettwa.gov/transitconsolidation In person: Clerk’s Office at 2930 Wetmore Ave, Everett, WA 98201 The following dates have been set for public hearings on the annexation: Hearing before City Council: Date: October 28, 2026 Time: 12:30 pm Location: 3002 Wetmore Ave Hearing before Community Transit Board: Date: October 29, 2026 Time: 3:00 pm Location: 2312 W. Casino Road Additional information about the proposed annexation may be obtained at everettwa.gov/transitconsolidation. After these hearings, the Everett City Council and Community Transit Board will vote on whether each agency will adopt the Interlocal Agreement for Annexation. In accordance with RCW 36.57A.145(3)(a), the City and Community Transit have caused this Notice of Availability of the Interlocal Agreement for Annexation to be published at least once a week for four weeks before the date of the hearing in a legal newspaper of general circulation in the City and in Community Transit’s territory.
