Jefferson County Parks & Rec is seeking a Parks Assistant – Clerk Hire for part-time (69hrs/month) work to support the care and upkeep of 22 County parks and campgrounds. Primary duties involve mowing, landscaping, custodial work, athletic field prep, tree work, repairs, and improvement projects. The role requires safe operation of small tractors, power equipment, and hand tools, along with strong communication and teamwork skills when working with park users and the public. May include weekend hours. Education/Experience: High school diploma/GED and valid WA State Driver's License, and have the ability to obtain a basic First Aid card and CPR certification. Compensation: This is a part-time Clerk Hire position that works up to 69 hours per month. $21.00/hour. No benefits, except sick leave; earns one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked.
