Join the City of Sequim Public Works team as a Maintenance Worker specializing in landscape installation and maintenance. This position plays an important role in keeping City properties, infrastructure, and public spaces clean, safe, attractive, and ready for community use. Working under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will perform a broad range of maintenance, repair, installation, and general labor duties that support the City's roads, parks, water and sewer systems, and other public utilities. This position will be primarily assigned to Sequim in Bloom (SIB), the City's program dedicated to maintaining and beautifying landscaped areas and streetscapes at City properties and within public rights-of-way. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on landscaping knowledge, a strong work ethic, and pride in contributing to the appearance and quality of Sequim's public spaces. Landscaping experience and/or arborist certification is strongly preferred. Salary Range: $27.39 - $32.66 per hour Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, employees generally begin at the lower end of the salary range.
