SAN JUAN COUNTY CALL FOR BIDS Sale of Surplus County Property EXTRACTION OF SURPLUS FROM WALDRON GRAVEL PIT First Advertised Wednesday, June 3, 2026 Description of Surplus Property: San Juan County is the owner of real property on Waldron Island, TPN 371324003000, a 3.41-acre parcel that includes within its boundaries a gravel pit, up to 1,000 cubic yards of gravel from which the County Council has designated as surplus County property, to be sold by public sale via sealed bids. The conditions of this sale will involve the awarded bidder entering into a lease from the County of a 1.0-acre portion of TPN 371324003000 that includes the 0.50-acre gravel extraction area (see the site map provided in the Bid Documents). The minimum bid amount is $20.00 per cubic yard. The awarded bidder will be responsible for obtaining all the necessary permits to conduct gravel extraction operations at the site at its own risk and expense, with the length of the lease to be valid until whichever occurs first of a ten-year agreement term, or until 1,000 cubic yards of gravel has been extracted from the site.
